The home buying process can feel overwhelming at times, especially if you are not sure what to expect. That’s why I focus on keeping things simple and transparent right from the beginning. You don’t need to have everything figured out — I'm here to help. I’ll walk you through it, step-by-step, so you can move forward with confidence.
Step 1: Start Your Application
We’ll walk through the pre-approval process step-by-step right here on my website. Click the button to get started. You will begin by creating a secure account so your information is protected — everything goes directly to me and no one else. I’ll guide you through the rest from there.
This sets the foundation so when you find the right home, you’re fully prepared to move forward.
Next, you will enter some basic personal information, including your social security number and date of birth.
I know that’s sensitive information — but it’s required so we can securely verify your identity and pull your credit. This helps make sure we’re working with accurate information from the start.
Your information is fully protected and goes directly to me as part of your application.
Now you’ll enter your income information. This helps me determine your purchasing power.
You’ll include things like:
We’re typically looking for a 2-year employment and income history, so be sure to include any recent job changes or previous employment if applicable. If you’ve changed jobs recently, that’s completely normal — we’ll just make sure we document it properly.
Don’t worry about getting everything perfect — I’ll review your paystubs or, LES for military, and make sure we have the most accurate information.
Next, you’ll enter your assets — things like your bank accounts, savings accounts and any investment accounts. This helps me confirm you have funds available for closing, understand where your down payment is coming from, and make sure everything meets lending guidelines.
A bank name and a estimated balance is totally fine — I’ll verify everything with your statements later.
No stress here — I’m not judging balances. I just want to make sure everything is lined up correctly so your loan moves forward smoothly.
In this section, you may see questions about your debts or monthly obligations.
In most cases, you don’t need to enter anything here — I will pull your credit report, which shows the majority of your debts automatically, we will review your report together.
The only time you’ll need to add something is if you have a payment that doesn’t appear on your credit report, such as:
This helps make sure I have a complete and accurate picture from the start.
Nothing here needs to be perfect — I’ll review everything with you.
Once everything is filled out, you’ll review your application and submit it.
Take a quick look over your information to make sure everything looks right — but don’t stress about perfection. I’ll be reviewing everything with you.
Go ahead and submit your application!
You’re closer than you think.
Once you submit your application, I’ll take it from there — reviewing everything, reaching out if anything is needed, and putting together a clear plan for you.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
